Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered his victory speech tonight at Skanderbeg Square, after the vote counting was completed and the Socialist Party's majority was confirmed.
In front of a large crowd of supporters, Rama gave messages about continuity, stability and new challenges, but also focused on the phenomenon of new parties entering the Assembly for the first time.
" Albania today is a completely different Albania and they do not want to understand that this people do not change the government they have, without changing the opposition they do not love. Who will tell if the result is in fact the result of a final confrontation. We became the party that we strongly embodied in the eyes of Albanians, who love Albania, the mistress of the EU. Although the final result has not yet come out, I want to congratulate the leaders of the new parties who survived the considerable air pressure of the big parties. I wish they find ways to grow as alternatives and not as vocal volumes in the political assembly ", he declared.
