Prime Minister Edi Rama has made public the composition of the new government, entrusting Belinda Balluku with the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama has entrusted the Ministry of Interior, for the first time, to a woman. It is Albana Koçiu, about whom Rama said that the Ministry of Interior is not only related to the State Police, but also to the address system, or firefighters, who today only receive crumbs.
In this way, Koçiu has moved from the Ministry of Health to an even more important department, the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Diplomacy or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be led by Elisa Spiropali, who, from being Speaker of the Parliament, will return to the Government, but with one of the most important and key positions.
Petrit Malaj has been reconfirmed as Minister of Finance, as has Blendi Gonxhe, who will continue to remain in the position of Minister. He will be Minister of Culture and Tourism, a position previously held by Mirela Kumbaro. The latter will continue to remain in the government cabinet, heading the Ministry of Education.
Sofjan Jaupaj, who was considered one of the most prominent Albanians in the field of the environment, has been appointed Minister of the Environment.
Elis Sala has been elected as Minister of Health and Social Welfare. Meanwhile, Delina Ibraimaj has been elected as the new Minister of Innovation and Economy.
