Prime Minister Edi Rama met this Thursday at the Apostolic Palace of the Vatican with Pope Leo XIV.
Earlier this morning, Rama shared on his social media some moments from his visit to the famous Basilica of Our Lady of Good Counsel, accompanied by a message in which he addresses his prayer to Mother Mary.
“O Mary, sweet Mother of Good Counsel, so beloved of the sons of Albania at home and abroad! Today we come to you, once again, to entrust our people, our families, our youth to you. You who are the Lady of Shkodra and all of Albania, guide us on the path of goodness, give us light in doubts and comfort in the trials of life. Under your protection we seek refuge, O Blessed Virgin.
Protect Albania, enlighten our minds and make us always faithful to your Son, Jesus. O Lady of Good Counsel, pray for us! ", writes Rama.
The Prime Minister arrived at the Vatican yesterday, February 4, accompanied by his wife, Linda Rama, and his son, Zaho. The first stop was precisely at the famous basilica in Genazzano, where, as he stated, no Albanian head of state or government has set foot there since 1467.
