Prime Minister Edi Rama has continued with the old propaganda that he uses every time the elections approach and it has to do with teachers' salaries and not only.
During an activity for safety in schools, Rama said that the government will not stop with the salary increase for teachers, adding that the average salary of a teacher is 950 euros.
The Prime Minister said this is a significant increase within which there is an escalation according to experience and according to the criteria established in a teacher's journey. Rama emphasized that those teachers who stand out will be paid better.
Rama said that the reason why we are not like Switzerland is because for a very long time we have lagged far behind in knowledge.
"We have not only focused on buildings and infrastructure, but also on strengthening the authority of the teacher and the continuous motivation of the teaching staff. We have done this with all the necessary means, but above all by setting as a strategic objective of our policy, the growth of teachers' salaries. Today, with the intervention of the last month of June, we have the average salary of 950 euros. It is a significant increase within which there is an escalation according to the criteria established in a teacher's journey , where those who stand out are paid better. We have no intention of stopping here. The goal is for Albania to be a champion in all directions, mainly EU membership," said Rama.
