Rama hopes that with the arrival of Donald Trump in the White House, things will change, and that he will stop with the well-known acrobatics and lobbying that started a long time ago with Richard Grenell and the son-in-law of the new President.
But in all likelihood, the State Department, which will be headed by Senator Marco Rubio, will renew the request to the Albanian government.
And most likely, he will ask them to have the official answer urgently. And if Rama refuses, then the big clash with the Americans will begin.
The Albanian Prime Minister hopes to postpone it until May, with the most urgent agendas of the Trump administration, such as ending the wars, so he has decided not to move from his position until the elections. Then, if he gets the fourth term with more MPs, there will be greater opportunities for movement.
