The advisor for economic issues in DP, Dorjan Teliti, has spoken about the increase in public debt. He stated that the increase in public debt is three times higher than what Albania benefits from.
Teliti said that the funds are being wasted since the tenders are done without competition. He said that regarding the debt, there are doubts as to whether this is normal, since every week more than 1,000 women from fashion factories have left their jobs.
" The public debt has doubled and as a result the citizens are paying it. Those concerns raised by the IMF are apparently true. That money going to the incinerators seems to have taken its toll. Debt weighs three times more than economic growth. The good news is that there is economic growth, but all layers must be affected. Albanian citizens are not satisfied.
What is the reality of the Albanian economy, which has grown 1-4%. The debt is suspected, is this normal? No! Therefore, DP will continue the denunciations. We understand the difficulty, but not to forget the layers, like the fashion industry, where week after week more than 1 thousand women are leaving their jobs.
I want to emphasize that the things that increase the economy of a country are the public investments, which are wasted and as a result we have those roads left to the roads. Is the Nation Road over? ", said Teliti in "News24".
