Speaker of Parliament Lindita Nikolla, during the meeting with EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato, in the premises of the Presidency of the Assembly, said that the Assembly is working to facilitate and strengthen the political dialogue between the parties.
Nikolla and Ambassador Gonzato discussed the achievements and challenges of Albania's European integration, after the end of the screening process.
President Nikolla wished Ambassador Gonzato success in his mission in Albania and expressed the belief that, under his leadership, the cooperation of the Assembly with the EU Delegation in Tirana and the European institutions will continue to grow.
"The Assembly is working to facilitate and strengthen the political dialogue between the parties, to jointly face the challenges of European integration, political and technical aspects of the negotiation process. The cooperation between the parliamentary groups in the Assembly will also facilitate the advancement and deepening of reforms, the modernization of the law-making process and the increase in the transparency of parliamentary activities" , said Nikolla.
Ambassador Gonzato appreciated the very good progress of the screening process and the high performance of Albanian institutions in cooperation with EU institutions.
President Nikolla and Ambassador Gonzato also discussed the cooperation of the Assembly with the European Parliament and EU institutions for the modernization of parliamentary services, to better face the challenges of the Assembly for the deepening of reforms and the process of European integration.
