"We don't need financial support for reforms", Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a communication with journalists, as he is present at the regional summit in Skopje, said that Albania does not need financial support to carry out the reforms.

Rama said that for Albania, integration in the EU is more important than financial support to carry out the reforms.

"Albania does not need financial support to carry out reforms. We did not ask for financial support for the reforms. This is where we are today, if we had done the right thing, we wouldn't have needed to tighten our grip on something that we should have done together in time ," said Rama.

Rama added that by changing the regime of financial transactions, it is expected to save over 20 million euros per year.

"The most important part of the process is not the billions, but the integration into the European internal market. Just by changing the regime of financial transactions that citizens make, it is expected that they can save over 20 million euros per year. There are many others that will greatly help the economy and businesses" , concluded Rama.
