The United States of America has sent a clear message to politics, after the scenes that happened yesterday in the Assembly.
The opposition MPs tried to put Altin Dumani with his shoulders against the wall, asking him to account for the security measure against Berisha. They also tried to provoke him with the files that SPAK is investigating. In short, Altin Duman "was on trial" for 4 hours.
Today, the embassy reminded the deputies that there are FBI agents in SPAK and that the corrupt have nowhere to go. The embassy announces that the FBI, OPDAT and ICITAP are training SPAK prosecutors.
" The United States continues to stand firmly with the independent Albanian justice institutions in their efforts to fight corruption, organized crime and impunity. Recently, OPDAT held a coordination seminar for the structure of the Special Prosecutor's Office of Albania against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) in Shkodër. Along with representatives from the Office of Out-of-State Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT), the International Criminal Investigation Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) and the FBI, SPAK prosecutors, including SPAK head Altin Dumani, gathered for to discuss the main priorities of SPAK ", announced the embassy.
Altin Dumani reported yesterday to the Assembly for over 4 hours about the work of SPAK and it was clearly proven that he had gone to the "wasp's nest", spoiling their comfort. The Democrats were heavily "armed" for this session, as the SPAK head was put on trial for 4 hours.
Almost the entire democratic parliamentary group was in tune, as everyone asked barrages of questions wanting to put "shoulders against the wall" Duman. He also made it clear to Tritan Shehu, who demanded an account of Berisha, that he does not deal with politics and no one forces him to break the law.
