"He's in trouble", Rama to Meta: I don't box with a man with

Prime Minister Edi Rama, from the studio of the "Opinion" show on TV Klan, said that on May 11, the Socialist Party will receive a minimum of 78 parliamentary mandates.

And while Rama's focus remains on justice reform, as a point of pride for the Socialist Party for its establishment, the show's host, Blendi Fevziu, reminded him that this reform was voted on with Ilir Meta at his side, who were together at the head of state at the time.

The socialist leader somehow denied it, saying that he does not want to talk about Meta, and even called him "a person in trouble", referring to the fact that he is under investigation by the Special Prosecution Office and is in detention. Rama further added that he cannot "box with a man whose hands are tied".

Fevziu: How many mandates will you get?

Rama: Minimum 78.

Fevziu: Minimum 78?

Rama: It's logical, no. But you don't want to listen. You want to fight with facts. It's logical. Today we have 74.

Fevziu: Even if you go after 12 years of governance, will your mandates be increased?

Rama: Why? What's wrong? What's wrong? What's the problem?

Fevziu: No, I have nothing, those who are watching you...

Rama: No sir, what's up? Albania is not what you comment on in the studio. Because if it were what you comment on in the studio, we would have fled, we would have been expelled from Albania altogether. Albanians are not limited people who say that since some of these… this one is in prison… then we should remove these. No sir, because Albanians know a very simple thing, that the fact that today for the first time there is an attempt for equality before the law, is our merit. We, the party in power, put it in place.

Fevziu: The entire Albanian parliament.

Rama: We did it. It was our initiative. The votes in the Albanian Parliament were a proud majority, a humble minority.

Fevziu: Ilir Meta, your collaborator, was also among this proud majority.

Rama: No, no.

Fevziu: And your co-governor.

Rama: Not about that one. I'm not talking about this person, because he's in trouble.

Fevziu: Why?

Rama: No, I don't speak.

Fevziu: You shouldn't say that word.

Rama: He's in trouble.

Fevziu: He is fighting a battle with justice, presumed innocent until the day there is a court decision.

Rama: I, Fevzi, don't box with a man whose hands are tied. I'm telling you this. In this sense. I say it in a good way, I don't mean it... /tvklan.al
