Berisha describes the Bektashi state as an anti-Albanian creature; who is behind

Despite the idea that Edi Rama may have in his head and once every 4 months he throws it out to the public, today no one is clear, including the ministers who are part of his government, about how the Bektashi state will be established.

And while Edi Rama has returned today to the idea of creating a Bektashi state, Sali Berisha, on the other hand, considers it an unconstitutional act that creates deep religious divisions in Albania.

The Prime Minister stated that no one should be afraid of the idea that the Bektashi state will have the special status of the Seat of the World Patriarchate. The Head of Government even made a comparison between the Vatican and the Bektashi State, in terms of status or method of organization.

But Berisha, in a reaction on social networks, states that the proclamation of the Bektashi state by Edi Rama is a stab in the back against the Muslim faith in Albania and a major anti-national act!

"The patriotic Bektashi clerics fought for the sovereignty and independence of Albania and never for religious principalities, because they were ardent patriots and not anti-Albanian traffickers and traitors."

"With this unconstitutional act, this branded anti-Albanian seeks to introduce deep religious division into Albania, to use the territory of Albania as private property for himself and the anti-Albanian groups he represents, and to create an epicenter of international criminal trafficking," Berisha emphasizes.

The former Prime Minister further declares that the Democratic Party condemns with the greatest force the project of the Islamic Bektashi state within the territory of Albania and guarantees the Albanian Bektashis and all our religious communities that it, strictly respecting the principle of separation of state and religion, will stand by their side unwaveringly in defense of the excellent religious harmony and tolerance of our nation and will never recognize such unconstitutional and anti-Albanian creatures.

The idea for a Bektashi state was first articulated in September 2024 by the New York Times and it was then Prime Minister Edi Rama who publicly affirmed the initiative.

Several hypotheses have been raised in the media and political circles regarding who came up with the idea of creating a Bektashi state within Albanian territory, and who supports it. Thus, hypotheses have been raised about an Israeli influence, then with a project initiated by Turkish President Erdogan, while Berisha, in his denunciation about 4 months ago, stated that such theses come from anti-Albanian circles.

Despite the idea that Edi Rama may have in his head and once every 4 months he throws it out in public, today no one is clear, including the ministers who are part of his government, about how the Bektashi state will be established, the legal basis, what status it will have, who will recognize it, how it will operate, beyond comparisons with the Vatican. /Pamphlet/
