How was the SP's victory in Himare reflected in the Greek media?

Vangjel Tavo of the Socialist Party was declared the winner of the by-elections in Himarë. Tavo won against the opposition candidate, Petro Gjikuria.

The Greek media, referring to the results of the elections, write that the election process took place amid complaints from the Greek diaspora about an attempt to change the election results, on behalf of the Government of Edi Rama.

As reported by SKAI, the electoral representatives of Omonia, when asked about the election results, said that "terrorism won".

Edi Rama's chosen one, Vangjel Tavo, is the winner of the elections in Himare writes Protothema, successor of Fredis Beleri, elected mayor and now MEP who remains in prison.

According to the official announcement, Tavo has collected 59% of the votes, while Petro Gikouria, supported by the Greek minority, has received 41%.

Vangjel Tavo declared the victory before the closing of the counting. After thanking those Himariots who voted for him, he promised that he will put the interests of the citizens above his own and that he will increase the cooperation between Albania and Greece.
