An unexpected development has occurred in the city of Shkodra, as the directors appointed by Tom Doshi have begun to be replaced. Edi Rama has handed over many directorates to Tom Doshi since the 2021 elections, in exchange for votes in the Parliament, especially in the Shkodra area. But the posts were added after the local elections. One of the institutions that the Social Democratic Party took over was the District Council in Shkodër. Marina Duhani was placed at its head.
She was appointed to this post in June 2023 as part of a SP-PSD pact for the local elections, where SP won for the first time in Shkodër. PSD has insisted on taking this post, starting from the fact that at the district level, this political force has secured the largest number of councilors, 37, or one more than the SP. But it is learned that today she announced her resignation, but according to sources, it was an imposed resignation. She will be replaced by Edmond Ndou.
It is learned that Duhani resigned from his position while the Socialist Party group was finalizing the documentation for the dismissal of the head of the Shkodra District Council, where the absolute majority of signatures had been secured.
While Edmond Ndou is currently also the chairman of the group of SP Councilors in the Shkodër Municipal Council. Earlier, he was also the coordinator of the LSI for Shkodra, while with the departure of the deputy Agron Çela from this political force and his joining with the SP, Ndou followed him.
But it doesn't end there. It is learned that Rezarta Pode from the Illyrian Guard for Shkodra and the regional director of the ARRSH Ervin Sadiku have also submitted their resignations.
