A day after the media publication, SPAK has officially launched investigations into the secret lobbying contract worth 6 million dollars, which the Democratic Party, through the "Make Albania Great Again" foundation of the Tropoja "Seci" family, signed with the American company "Continental Strategy".
Information provided by "Pamphlet" indicates that SPAK has already registered the case, starting verifications from the procedures for launching and financing the contract, given that this lobbying contract was signed on behalf of the 25-party coalition "DP-Greater Albania".
On Wednesday, SPAK sent a request for information to the leaders of the other 24 parties in the coalition, seeking to learn whether they were aware of the contract before signing it and whether they gave their consent.
SPAK's request includes the filing of original documents of the lobbying contract, accompanying agreements with the signatures and seals of the parties, and the notary office where it was certified on April 4, 2025.
SPAK has also requested that the coalition parties submit the contract for a joint bank account where the first 750 thousand dollars of the advance payment have been deposited, and where the rest of the amount up to the full amount of 6 million dollars is expected to be deposited. This amount has been declared in the name of the “DP-Greater Albania” coalition, and according to the law, financial responsibility must be joint.
So far, Agron Duka, leader of the Agrarian Environmentalist Party (PAA), has distanced himself, stating that he was not aware of this lobbying contract.
In the continuation of the investigations, SPAK will also verify whether the Presidency and National Council of the DP have legally authorized this financial operation, as required by the statute of this party./ Pamphlet
