Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is also the leader of the Socialist Party, has appealed to Albanians with the right to vote in the Diaspora to support the Socialist Party with their votes. While today is the deadline for emigrants to send in their votes, Rama said that what we sow on May 11th will determine what we will reap.
"On May 11th, we will affirm our European affiliation and the change in status as a country, people and individual here in the middle of Europe, where with the decision of May 11th, the power of May 11th and the conclusion of negotiations, we will no longer be simply by custom, but also by law."
No longer Europeans alien to Europe but equal. It applies at the national, local, family and personal levels. With EU membership we will have a new Albania. We Albanians will have a new home.
For those of you who are in Greece, a new passport will come for us and for you, the European citizen's passport, the red and black passport. The vote for those who have registered is a small effort, but also a great contribution. Despite the company's difficulties, over 90 percent of the envelopes have now been distributed.
On the islands, the opportunity to cast your vote ends today, on the peninsula there are still a few days left. Don't leave it until the last day.
"Open the envelope, put the note on number 5," Rama says.
