Democratic Party MP Dashnor Sula expressed his belief that by-elections for four municipalities in the country will be held in August.
According to him, the three new mayors of Berat, Burrel and Tepelena will be elected before September, after their leaders left office to run in the general elections on May 11.
From the A2Cnn studio, Sula criticized the Democrats, who according to him are enjoying their vacations and lunches and dinners, at a time when the ruling majority is preparing for this electoral process.
"You have three municipalities that will be in early partial elections: Berat, Burrel and Tepelena. The opposition will be on vacation. The opposition has said that on May 11, only Berisha and a couple of other people will speak. The others are sleeping, going on vacation and soaking up the sun. They are thinking about having lunch, dinner, and Flamur joining the others... and the others," said Sula.
Asked if there is information that by-elections will be held in August, in all four municipalities, including Tirana, since its mayor Erion Veliaj is behind bars, Sula said: "Yes, definitely."
"These partial elections have nothing to do with the Code," he said.
