The clearance of public spaces continues in all cities across the country. Today, forces from the Territory Protection Inspectorate demolished structures that had occupied public spaces.
In the video published by Prime Minister Rama on Facebook, courtyards on the first floors of buildings are seen, which have been occupied by residents of the area.
Using the space on the first floors of the building, the residents had enclosed the public territory, including it as the courtyard of their apartment.
IMT forces intervened by tearing down fences and enclosures to restore public space.
The campaign to free up public spaces has been underway since July across the country. It initially began with the removal of metal structures and tents from bars that had occupied public spaces.
After the announcement of the action, some business owners voluntarily dismantled the structures, and for those who did not react, IKMT intervened by demolishing them.
