The lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has analyzed the situation in Himare, after the removal of the mandate from the CEC of Fredi Beleri, convicted of buying votes in last year's local elections.
Spahiu said that Greece buys the votes in Himara and not Fredi Beleri, while he said that the latter is being used as a Trojan horse to destroy the country's national interests.
" Fred Beleri is being used as a Trojan horse to destroy national interests. Votes in Himare are bought by Greece and not "Fredi Beleri". Millions of euros are spent. Greece is becoming an obstacle for the integration of Albania in the EU. This alliance between the Albanian opposition DP and Fredi Beleri is nothing more than a coalition to the detriment of Albania's interests.
The coalition between DP and Athens will continue. Greece is lobbying for Berisha to repair relations with the West. They will have a minority candidate. The Berisha-Beleri alliance has disappointed every democrat who feels patriotic. Even the socialists are not left behind! Can't Albania find a profile of a patriotic intellectual and they put Himara as a candidate with a criminal record?! They put Himara in a historical record, where the two leaders went to prison. It is an unprecedented case when the whole of Albania cannot find a person who represents the people of Himara.
Greece has entirely ethnic claims related to Northern Epirus. This is the elite area. Tourism after the pandemic has received an extraordinary development. They focus on investments in tourism. Businesses and oligarchs of the East have entered Croatia in Montenegro in many Mediterranean countries, in Albania it is a kind of taboo and therefore Himara takes tenfold value , "said Spahiu.
Asked if it is unconstitutional to announce the decree for the elections in Himaras, Spahiu said that there is no legal or procedural clause for a process in the GJK to interrupt or suspend the elections.
" I told you that there are two legal reasons, a criminal decision, but there is also a decision on the mandate in the EP, there are two constitutional legal reasons that Fredi Beleri's mandate as mayor has ended. There is no legal or procedural clause for a process in the GJK to interrupt or suspend the elections ", said Spahiu.
