The debates from the meeting of the PD group are clarified / Bardhi demands
Gazment Bardhi and Sali Berisha

The debates in the joint meeting of the deputies of the Democratic Party, called by Gazment Bardhi and the participation of Sali Berisha's supporters, have been clarified.

During the meeting with closed doors, Gazment Bardhi asked his colleagues to make proposals for an opposition action in the Assembly.

According to him, the majority is blocking any institutional space: "What is happening now has never happened to the opposition".

"We will have to take a stand. The majority is blocking us from any institutional space. They destroyed parliamentarization. The opposition should not allow normal parliamentary activity to take place, as long as the majority will continue to reject the opposition's demands for parliamentary investigative commissions, or the refusal to change the members of the special electoral reform commission.

What is happening now has never happened to the opposition. Every space has been annihilated. They practically put us in the conditions where they decide everything for us. We will have to have a firm attitude. I expect proposals from you and we have to come up with a decision on what to do," said Bardhi.

On the other hand, Sali Berisha has categorically stated not to boycott the works of the Assembly, which according to him has been done before and is not in their favor, according to the discussions revealed by the journalist Osman Stafa.

The former prime minister has proposed the idea of sending letters to the international offices, to make them aware and to show the violations that are happening in the Parliament of Albania.

"I think we should make a public letter and distribute it to the international offices and let them know what is happening in the Albanian parliament and what is happening with the opposition. Then we must gather the allied parties, where we can discuss the situation in question and the last step is the clash, so as not to allow the normal development of the parliamentary sessions, but to block them.

I think that the boycott is not an option as a mechanism to be used by us, that is, the boycott of the parliament. We will not use those practices that have been used before, (Refers to the burning of mandates, the abandonment of elections) but we will use every democratic means so that no one takes the opposition by storm, as happened in the last parliamentary session.", it is learned. Berisha said.
