The vice-president of the official DP, Orjola Pampuri, has reacted after the letter that Gament Bardhi sent to the speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, where she said that the DP is ready to reach a consensus with the SP, for the election of the People's Advocate.
Through a post on the "Facebook" social network, Pampuri has rejected Bardhi's claim, saying that the letter sent does not represent the official PD, but the personal interests of a group of people who claim to be PDSH.
She further emphasized that the official DP will not get involved in such negotiations for the position of the People's Advocate, as she added that negotiations for such an important position are dangerous and do not serve the citizens at all.
" Public clarification! Today, the media has distributed an announcement according to which it is claimed that the Democratic Party asked Lindita Nikolli and Bledar Çuçi to negotiate for the election of the People's Advocate.
We clarify the public opinion, that the Democratic Party and its legal representatives in the institution of the Assembly, have not expressed any position nor have they authorized anyone to violate the position and political will of the PDSH, together with it, to compromise the legitimacy of choosing an independent constitutional institution such as the People's Advocate.
No attempt or show of will to enter into political negotiations under the guise of negotiations is not an approach nor the will of PDSH, but is simply and only a negotiation for personal interests.
The election of the head of an independent constitutional institution, such as the People's Advocate, does not need individual bargaining, but an open and transparent process, for a broad consensus, not only political but also civil, about the person who can represent and protect better their interests
PDSH denounces and rejects any bargain disguised as negotiation. The compromise for the ombudsman should be made around the figure, personality and integrity of the proposed candidate and not the bargaining of different individuals for purposes and interests that are not related to the democrats and PDSH.
Any camouflaged, individual shopping has nothing to do with PDSH, it constitutes a public fraud, it is not recognized by it and above all it is the worst service that can be done to the public", writes Pampuri in her post .
