The Democratic Party has elected, through voting, the new presidents of its ten branches, such as in Mallakastër, Devoll, Bulqizë, Kukës, etc. On March 23 and 24, the voting process took place, which started at 8:00 a.m. and ended at 6:00 p.m.
After the counting of the ballots, according to the official minutes received by KOKOE from the Voting and Counting Commissions, the winners in the race for "chairman" according to branches were announced as follows:
PD Mallakastër branch, Mr. Bilbil Shanaj picture with 82% of the votes
PD branch Devoll, Mr. Elvis Jani Hajdërlli with 74% of the votes
PD Poliçan branch, Mr. Behar Veli Xhaferaj with 63% of the votes
PD branch Peqin, Mr. Mustafa ZylyfPashja with 88% of the votes
PD branch Shijak, Mr. Denis Lutfi Duka with 53% of the votes
PD branch Bulqize, Mr. Shaqir Mislaf Manjani with 78% of the votes
PD degaTropojë, Mr. Bardhyl Sahit Hoxhaj with 71% of the votes
DP Kukës branch, Mr. Rrahman Shefqet Dema with 58% of the votes
DP branch Kuçovo, Mr. Nevjan Pasho, with 94% of the votes
DP Mirdita branch, Mr. Aleksandër Lala, with 85% of the votes
The announcement states that the elections for head of branches on March 23 and 24, 2024 were held based on two decisions: Decision no. 3 of February 26, 2024 of the Presidency of PDSH and in decision no. 4 dated February 28, 2024 of the Commission for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations.
The Commission for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations of the DP thanked all the members who became an active part of the voting process for the election with the principle "one member one vote" of the heads of their branches.
