Fire in the Assembly for Investigative Commissions, Rama message to Berisha: We
Edi Rama

Today, Prime Minister Edi Rama said this Friday in a media conference that he does not negotiate with a "non grata", referring here to former Prime Minister Sali Berisha after the chaos and fire in the Assembly.

"First of all, we do not negotiate with non-women and with any spokesperson of non-women. We have said this since day one, it is not new. Non grata and his spokesmen, who have taken it upon themselves to turn the parliament into a square to make fun of because of a completely personal problem with the new justice, and rejoice in the fact that the burning of the fire in the hall of the parliament takes place in all the media of the world, do you say that this brings something other than scribbling the image of Albania, they are in their right to make their choices.

Parliament has its own rules, it also has its own limitations, because in the conditions when the rules of the parliament define as the most extreme measure possible by the parliament itself the exclusion even for 10 days of even an arsonist, then we have nothing else to do but calmly, patience to wait for justice to do justice to those who forcefully obstruct the exercise of the duty of others", said Rama.

The Prime Minister has also announced the revision of the law on Investigative Commissions.

"On the other hand, there is nothing to negotiate here because it is completely untrue that investigative commissions can be set up simply and only because a certain number of signatories felt like setting up an investigative commission. The way they are raised is clearly defined not only in the law, but also by the decisions of the CJK. That if every initiative to launch an investigative commission was constitutional, then the GJK could not have announced unconstitutional investigative commissions, as it has already announced. Which means, that in the case of setting up an unconstitutional commission, the Assembly was wrong. Which means that when the Assembly sets up an investigative commission, it must do so within the constitutional framework. You cannot set up commissions of inquiry based on rumors that you spread yourself, despite the fact that you may have an MP mandate and a number of MPs who sign that the rumors that you opened yourself can be turned into a commission of inquiry. It is time to review the law on investigative commissions, taking into account the experience and countless failures of investigative commissions over the years. This ad hoc commission was not established because there was no will from the other side. Meanwhile, we have worked and considered 2 directions of this work. The first is the integration of the decisions of the CJK for investigative commissions and the second is the German law on investigative commissions. I have here the entire study done by the working group to intervene in the law on investigative commissions. One of the data it has is that Albania holds the record number in relation to the Balkan countries, for the number of investigative commissions it has set up in all these years".
