Strasbourg's decision for January 21/ Rama: Tirana's Prosecutor's
Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama today requested that the new justice react to the murders of January 21, after the decision of the Strasbourg Court regarding this matter.

In a press conference, the head of the government emphasized that the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has mocked the Constitution and the law on this issue.

"It is unfortunate that while the human rights court in Strasbourg has issued a very significant, very meaningful, clear decision regarding a state crime that for more than a decade, it has been covered in the dust of not only oblivion but also of the disloyalty of the institutions of justice, the general reaction to the confusion of the public debate and above all of the spokesmen of public opinion, i.e. the media, has been quite weak. But I am not here to criticize but to bring back to attention the extraordinary weight of this decision of the European court on the social life of our country.

I said at the beginning of the time that for state crimes like January 21, history teaches that they take a long time to be solved, but they never remain unsolved.

And while the prosecutor's office of Tirana has mocked in contempt the constitution, the law and of course the pain and the right of the family members of the victims in the first place but also of the whole society to know the truth, it has treated it like a rag. a new evidence came out a few months ago, it's time for the new justice to react because while this crime has taken the streets of the prosecutor's offices and courts of the country, the structures of the justice system have changed and the personalities or profiles of high officials are being investigated from another structure," Rama emphasized
