The leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, has presented the government cabinet, which must secure at least 61 votes out of 120 MPs to pass.
He began his speech in the Assembly with the trial of former KLA leaders in The Hague. Kurti said that the proposal of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office to sentence former KLA leaders to 45 years in prison contradicts the truth and denies the historical and political context of the liberation war.
He added that the session on the formation of the Government and the constitutive session of the Assembly were held in the late hours precisely because of the trial against former KLA leaders in The Hague, Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selim and Kadri Veseli.
As for the government, Kurti has significantly expanded the number of ministries, bringing it to 19. It seems that he has been infected by Albania and Edi Rama.
