The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, will pay an official visit to Kosovo today.
According to the announcement of the Turkish government, he will be received in a meeting by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, at 09:45.
According to the announcement of the Turkish Ministry, bilateral relations as well as current regional and international developments will be discussed during the meetings.
Minister Fidan will visit Prizren and Mamusha and will meet with the Turkish community and its representatives.
It is also announced that Minister Fidan will also visit the KFOR headquarters.
This meeting comes at a time when the Turkish authorities have arrested a citizen of Kosovo, whom the Turkish secret service said is a member of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad.
Who was Liridon Rexhepi?
Istanbul police have arrested Liridon Rexhepi, who was identified by the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) as the head of the Mossad financial network in Turkey.
According to Anadolu Agency, Rexhepi allegedly managed the financial operations of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad in Turkey.
It was also revealed that, under the instructions of the Israeli intelligence service, Rexhepi has carried out drone surveillance and operations against Palestinian politicians.
He was found to have transferred funds to agents on the ground in Turkey who were gathering intelligence on Syria. Rexhepi's activities, including suspicious transactions in his accounts, were monitored by MIT.
The investigation determined that he transferred significant amounts of money through Western Union to agents on the ground in Turkey.
His activities had been tracked since he entered the country on August 25. Rexhepi, who was detained on August 30 by MIT and the Istanbul Police, admitted that he had transferred money.
