The Embassy of France in Kosovo has clarified the statement in Tirana to the French President, Emmanuel Macron, regarding the liberalization of visas for Kosovo.
In a response to the Kosovo media, the French embassy in Pristina explained that the emphasis of Macron's statement was more on seeking responsibility from Vucic for the September 24 attacks.
According to the French embassy, Macron did not mention the cancellation of visas.
"He called for a spirit of responsibility from the Serbian president Vucic and he had the same expectations from the president and the prime minister of Kosovo.
Precisely in this context, he also mentioned the issue of visa liberalization, which was a gesture of good faith, but which in this period was not reciprocal. Therefore, he expects the Kosovar authorities, as well as the Serbian authorities, to respect their word and recommit themselves to move forward in the coming weeks", says the French Embassy's response to the media.
