The deputy of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Mimoza Kusari Lila, has stated that there cannot be a neutral language when the perpetrators are known, referring here to the current situation between Kosovo and Serbia and the ongoing tensions between the two countries.
Invited to Euronews Albania, the deputy said that the attitude of Borrell and Lajçak is damaging the process. Statements that the policemen were arrested and not kidnapped or other comments should be checked based on the principles of each European country.
"For Kosovo, it is not a good feeling at all, however we have had our doubts and remarks continuously. The role that should have been a mediator and facilitator of Mr. Lajçak has long since deviated into the role of an arbitrator or the role of a mediator who takes sides. This was also told to us in the European Parliament in the continuous meetings, in the regular meetings we have there. The messages he says publicly are different and the messages he says inside the doors and corridors of the European Parliament are different, that's why we have raised these concerns with the EU countries, and directly with Mr. Lajcak, and it seems that he is already wearing a mask it is evident that they do not even try to cover the bias of Mr. Borrell and partly also of Mr. Lajçak", said Mimoza Kusari Lila.
The deputy of the VV added that she regrets that the meeting between the governments of Albania and Kosovo did not take place, while she emphasized that the current situation is painful.
