Liridona Murseli's brother, Leonardo Ademaj, spoke in an interview for "Review" in Euronews Albania about the murder of his sister by her husband Naim Murseli.
The brother rejected claims that the couple was in a divorce process since 2019 and added that they as a family have not been aware of any disagreements between the couple.
Ademaj said that during the 13 years of her sister's marriage, she never complained about her husband, she even appreciated him and had a happy family.
According to the brother, the problems between the couple started in October, when Liridona and her family returned from Sweden to Kosovo.
" The sister has never complained to us in these 13 years, there has been no remark to him. He had a very good and very happy married life. They had very nice trips together and nice memories. They have been very good.
We have not been informed about anything related to the divorce. If a divorce is requested, the information comes to the house, but he has never mentioned it to us. Since 2019, they have lived very well together. They have been together every time. Since they returned to Kosovo at the end of June, and starting from October, their lives there changed.
They decided to return and live in Kosovo. It was Naim who decided to return, where he had told him "let's go back and live in Kosovo because life is good there." Naimi returned two or three months ago, the sister returned later. I don't know what the reasons were, I'm waiting for the police to find out", said the brother.
Ademaj added that the family members will exhume Liridona and bring her to re-hang her next to her family. "After we came after the funeral and found out what happened, they called my father on the phone. We made the decision to exhume him and bring him here ," he said.
