A serious family crime occurred in Prizren, Kosovo, where a father stabbed his 15-year-old daughter to death.
The incident occurred in the early hours of this Tuesday morning, and the news has been confirmed by police authorities.
Kosovo media sources indicate that the perpetrator is Mehmet Görenç, a Turkish citizen, who is suspected of having attacked his two minor daughters and his wife with a sharp object (knife).
"Today, on 06.05.25 at around 05:57, the police received information via phone that there was an injured person on "Shote Galica" street in Prizren and that the medical emergency was unable to provide assistance because a suspect was holding a knife in his hand. Four police patrols were sent in that direction. At the scene, it was understood that a suspect, MG, born in 1981, had stabbed his two daughters, one 15 years old who died at the scene and the other seriously injured, who is currently in critical condition at the UCCK in Pristina," the Kosovo police spokesman stressed.
According to the police, the other 10-year-old girl is in serious condition and has been sent for medical treatment to UCCK.
The perpetrator has already been arrested, while the Police spokesperson said that the perpetrator suffered injuries, which he allegedly inflicted on himself after committing the act.
