Security expert, Bedri Elezi, has stated that no Serbs in the north of Kosovo have been able to move freely in the Schengen area of the EU, although they had Serbian passports.
Elezi made his comments through a link to the "Good Morning Albanians" show, where he said that this was because the EU allowed only Serbs resident in Serbia to move freely.
According to Elez, this has made many Serbs in Kosovo interested in Kosovo passports and put Kosovo license plates.
" There is a large number of Serbs interested in obtaining Kosovo passports and equipping their cars with Kosovo license plates. This comes after the decision of the EU to introduce Kosovo into Schengen. So they want to use free movement.
Vehicle registration is related to Kosovo's entry into Schengen. Citizens of Serbia, even though they had Serbian passports, could not travel to Schengen, although Serbia was previously in the free zone. No Serb who lived in Kosovo was a resident of Serbia and did not have the opportunity to move to Schengen, although they had Serbian passports.
This is because the decision of the EU was that only residents of Serbia could move. So it was the Schengen family that had excluded the citizens. The coordinates were determined in the passports of these citizens. So the residence" , said Elezi.
