Kosovo increases pensions by 20%, Kurti: All categories are included

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, declared today that from this month pensions have increased by 20 percent.

Kurti announced through a press conference that the pensions that will increase from October will include all categories of pensions.

"Starting from this month, we will increase all pensions by 20 percent: basic age pension, contribution pension - full and partial payer, disability pension for children and adults, pension for the blind, pension for paraplegic and tetraplegic persons, family pension, work disability pension, and early retirement for the workers of Trepça", said Kurti.

Kurti added that from January 2025, the pensions defined by the law for war categories will increase by 20 percent, namely the families of martyrs, invalids, veterans, members of the KLA, victims of sexual violence, civilian victims and families of theirs.
