The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has given new information regarding the kidnapping of three policemen in the north. He stated that Jetish Jashari from the Liaison Office of Kosovo in Serbia, visited the kidnapped policemen on Tuesday, and as he said, third parties told the same incident.
According to Kurti, the policemen were kidnapped near a makeshift table inside the territory of Kosovo, eating bread.
" The policemen's description is the same as how the kidnapping happened. They say that they were at the improvised table for eating, and 15 people surrounded them, attacked and kidnapped them. All three tell the same story when asked separately by our ambassador. This removes the dilemma..Serbia carried out aggression on June 14. The policemen were on duty, in the fight against smuggling, where one of the 15 smuggling routes was closed ", Kurti declared to the media.
He said that the policemen of Kosovo should be released immediately, unconditionally and intact, while he invited the USA and the European Union to condemn the kidnapping.
" Whoever claims that they were arrested in Serbia, explain how the handcuffs were found 1 kilometer from the border on one side, 670 meters to the north-east, and 300 meters to the southwest of the border, again far from Serbia. It is not about any arrest in Serbia, it is about kidnapping in Kosovo. We are in communication with the Liaison Office in Serbia ," he said.
