Nasim Haradinaj, former member of the KLA and former vice-president of the OVL-KLA, is released from prison.
The decision was taken on December 12 by the president of the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo, Ekaterina Trendafilova, and it was published today.
Haradinaj has already returned to Gjakova, announced Faton Klinaku.
“After some sadness in Cal's case, comes some good news. Comrade Nasim Haradinaj just arrived in Gjakovë", Klinaku wrote on Facebook.
In Trendafilova's decision, it is stated that after reviewing the information presented, including the Report, it was decided to release Haradinaj in accordance with Rule 196 of the Regulation and Article 11 of the Work Guide, for the remainder of the sentence imposed by the Panel of Court of Appeal, the following conditions apply:
- the guarantee that he will live all the time at the home address, noted in Haradinaj's Submissions;
- to inform the Administrator and the police station identified by the Administrator about the change of permanent residence, subject to approval by the Chairperson;
- to appear every week at the police station identified by the Administrator;
- The passport or travel documents of Mr. Haradinaj;
- to stay in Kosovo and inform the Administrator in case he wants to travel outside of Kosovo and the request for a travel permit is approved by the Chairperson;
- not to contact or communicate with witnesses before the Specialized Chambers and ZPS;
- not to give public statements directly or indirectly (by himself or through others) regarding the Specialized Chambers and ZPS in;
- request permission and approval from the Administrator for interviews or any other contact with the media, as defined in the Work Guide for Detainees (Communications with the Media);
- to fulfill the decisions or orders of the Specialized Chambers;
- not to make negative, violent, intimidating, threatening or coercive comments towards or around (potential) witnesses or other persons who are at risk due to their cooperation with the Specialized Chambers, and towards or around officials of the Specialized Chambers Specialized or ZPS of.
