A serious incident happened yesterday in the border area between Kosovo and Albania, after a married couple was found dead in their apartment.
Kosovar media reports that businessman Mic Tofaj and his wife, Fatlinda Maloku Tofaj, were found dead in a residential house, under still unclear circumstances.
Meanwhile, the justice bodies have started investigations into the tragic event.
"As soon as the dead bodies have been removed from the Institute of Forensic Medicine, they will perform an autopsy by order of the Prosecutor's Office. There are still police investigators at the scene and, together with the prosecutor of serious crimes, they are conducting the necessary examinations. The first suspicions are that there was an explosion and the same people died from asphyxiation", announced the prosecutor's office.
The two victims were together with their two children, one 1 year old and the other 9, in their villa in Bjeshket e Juniku.
It is also suspected that the cause of the serious incident was contact with the electric current in their toilet. The victims were found dead by their eldest son who later informed their uncle. Mic Tofaj was also the owner of the "Juniku" water factory.
