Prime Minister Albin Kurti's bilateral meeting with the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue mediator in Brussels, Joseph Borrell, has begun.
Earlier, the European Union's External Service said that "the High Representative, Josep Borrell, accompanied by the Special Envoy, Miroslav Lajcak, will have a series of meetings on crisis management with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti".
The meetings in Brussels between Kosovo and Serbia will likely be only bilateral meetings, between the dialogue bearers, Albin Kurti, and Aleksandar Vucic, with the European mediators of the dialogue.
The spokeswoman of the EU, Nabila Massrali, in a press conference on Thursday, did not indicate exactly whether or not there will be a tripartite meeting.
" I did not say that there will be no meeting between them. It is important that they will be in Brussels today, at the invitation of the high representative. Let's see how the meetings will go, and then we can know more ", answered Massrali, when asked if there will be consequences for those who refuse to meet.
" Discussions will focus on finding a way out to reduce the current tensions, so that [the parties] can return to the implementation of the dialogue agreements, in particular the Agreement on the road to normalization", the EU announcement states./ REL
