Former President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, in an ultra-exclusive interview on 'Rubikon' on Klan Kosova, spoke about the five years he spent in the detention center in The Hague.

Thaçi said that as a prisoner, a person is like a fish without water, and he described the cell as "the frost of life."

"This new life in this new, unpleasant, strange and alien world is a prison. In these circumstances of isolation, darkness and loneliness, things are confused with fragility and passion. I am still managing to maximize hope and commitment and minimize the tendency towards boredom and futility," Thaçi said at Rubicon.

Furthermore, the former head of state stated that the pace of his life has never moved faster than the period he spent in The Hague, as he stated that "life cannot be returned, but only the one who gave it to me can take my soul."

"I may sound naive or absurd, but the pace of my life has never moved faster than the period I have spent here, but unfortunately they are years "quietly" and "gently" lost."

"It is a waste of the best and most effective life time that a human being can have, years without a mission chosen by me. I am aware, life does not come back. But, only the one who gave it to me can take my soul," said Thaçi,
