
The race for mayor of Lipjan is emerging as a tough political battle. According to the results so far from the Central Election Commission (CEC), the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) candidate, Imri Ahmeti, is winning without the need for a runoff.
From 70 polling stations processed out of a total of 88, Ahmeti leads with 50.77% of the vote, securing 11,549 votes. He is followed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) candidate, Shukri Buja, with 30.29% (6,890 votes).
Other candidates received lower percentages:
Ilir Qeriqi from the Vetevendosje Movement! – 16.73% (3,806 votes)
Ardian Bytyqi from GUXO – 1.42% (324 votes)
Bashkim Budakova from AAK – 0.79% (180 votes)
Current results show a clear dominance of the LDK in this municipality, making Imri Ahmeti's victory very likely without a runoff.
