A large-scale police operation was conducted in the early hours of this morning in several locations in Pristina, where eight different apartments were raided on suspicion of trafficking in weapons and prohibited substances.
This action was led by the Investigation Sector of the Border Department, in cooperation with specialized units and was carried out on the basis of an order of the Basic Court in Pristina - Special Department, for the criminal offense: "Unauthorized import, export, supply, transportation, production, exchange, brokerage or sale of weapons or explosive devices."
During the raids, the following items were seized: an AK-47 automatic rifle, approximately 23 rounds of ammunition for the automatic weapon, 2 magazines (cartridges), a bayonet and a knife, 78 grams of suspected narcotics and seven mobile phones, suspected of being part of prohibited communications.
The suspects in this case are: Florim Krasniqi, about 30 years old, Altin Berisha, about 23 years old, Ridvan Hajdari, about 19 years old, and Enis Sherifi, about 27 years old.
After the interviewing and documentation procedures, by order of the Prosecutor of the case, the suspects were released in a regular procedure, while investigations are ongoing to discover whether a wider criminal structure is hidden behind this network.
