After surviving a vote of no confidence, Abdixhiku invites critics to join him

The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, survived the vote of confidence he himself requested on Saturday at the party's Assembly, being confirmed by a majority vote to continue leading the LDK.

After the end of the process, Abdixhiku announced that the Assembly had held over seven hours of discussions, while he described his position at the head of the party as a privilege and a responsibility.

" The verdict on LDK membership was given by closed ballot, for which I am grateful. I am grateful for the continued support, but also for the objections during this process ," Abdixhiku declared to the media.

He announced that the Assembly has approved two political declarations: one on the internal reorganization of the LDK and another on the political situation in Kosovo.

According to him, through the second statement, the party has committed to open discussions with the entire political spectrum, with the aim of providing stability for the country's future.

Speaking about the next steps, Abdixhiku emphasized that recovery is the main direction of the party and invited all members, including those critical of him, to join.

"The way forward for the LDK has a name - Recovery. This is not done by dividing into winners and losers, but by aligning the entire membership. I invite everyone, even those who were not satisfied with me, to align themselves behind the common goal," he said.

Abdixhiku emphasized that the Assembly did not discuss coalitions or specific positions, but rather guiding values and the role of the LDK as a party that aims for political stability.
