EU sanctions, Hoti: Kosovo cannot be led by Kurti and Osmani, bring damage to

The former prime minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, reacted after the confirmation of EU sanctions against Kosovo.

Hoti writes that the EU has notified the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo about these measures since June 28, but the latter have not notified either the Assembly or the citizens of this new situation.

He adds that the Assembly should convene for an extraordinary session to coordinate actions.

Hoti says that President Vjosa Osmani is not exercising her function and together with Kurti they are taking Kosovo to another path and not to the west.

"On June 28, 2023, the EU notified the Government of Kosovo of the imposed sanctions: the suspension of the SAA, the suspension of projects financed by the Investment Framework for the Western Balkans, the suspension of IPA funds, the suspension of high-level bilateral meetings and other measures.

The Government of Kosovo has not informed either the Assembly of Kosovo or the citizens about this new situation.

The Assembly must convene in an extraordinary session to discuss and agree on the course of action.

Where is the President of the country? Why is it not performing its function? This binomial is taking Kosovo to another path, not to the west.

One thing is clear: Kosovo cannot be led by a Prime Minister and President, who bring sanctions to the country instead of Euro-Atlantic integration" writes Avdullah Hoti on Facebook.
