
President Vjosa Osmani has reacted after the resignation of 7 Serbian policemen in Kosovo, who said that the latter withdrew after threats from Belgrade.
Osmani demanded that the European Union take measures against Serbia and President Aleksandar Vucic, as according to her, the latter is exerting pressure on Serbian policemen.
"According to the investigations of our institutions during these weeks, there is confirmed information, their intimidation and blackmail comes from Serbia, so their source is in Serbia, this country which unfortunately continues with open aggression in relation to Kosovo, is continuing through illegal institutions and criminals in Kosovo to put pressure on the Serbian citizens who are pro-integration, the use of the rights offered by the Constitution and the Brussels Agreements", said Osmani.
Among other things, the president said that these actions of Serbia violate the Brussels Agreement, so the EU should immediately take measures against Vučić.
"Such actions are a flagrant violation of the Brussels agreements, which have foreseen that a number of policemen should be from the community depending on the ethnic composition. I expect the EU to take measures against Serbia and Vučić for violating international human rights standards. , the pressure on Serbian policemen comes from Serbia and its structures, therefore we expect that the punishment of these acts will be with the punishment of the perpetrators, the perpetrator is in Belgrade", she said.
