Serbia's plan to hold a special UN session against Kosovo has failed. Months ago, Aleksandër Vucic threatened to call the Security Council, in the hope that the world would come out against Kosovo, but his plan has ended in Greek calendars.
So far, no one has ignored Serbia's request, while the saw remained on the nail with Albania. Our country has taken the presidency of the Security Council and Ambassador Ferit Hoxha has made it clear to Belgrade that there is no chance of holding such a meeting.
This failure has also been accepted by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. His hopes now rest on Russia and China.
" We will have an important session of the UN General Assembly from September 19 to 26. There I will hold several extremely important meetings with representatives of governments and high officials from all over the world, where we will again try to present Serbia in a dignified and responsible manner. I am asking the representatives of the EU and the USA, as well as our traditional friends China and Russia, to really look at the situation in Kosovo and see who is causing unrest and conflict ," he said.
Earlier it was Ivica Dacic who admitted that despite the lobbying that Belgrade has done to convene the UN, it has not succeeded.
