Shefik Gerbovci, now director of the Kosovo Insurance Bureau (BKS), was elected to this position with an unprecedented acrobatics, trying to manipulate the opinion that he is supposedly respecting the principles of open competition.
There was no selection of the interviewing company, according to any public competition that would interview the director candidates. There was only an internal "competition", where in a panel of three people, Gerbovci was chosen as director even though he works as an actuary for two of the companies whose representatives participated in the interview.
The three insurance companies that participated in the interview panel with their representatives are "Siguria" Insurance Company, "Skardian" Insurance Company, and "Eurosing" Company.
The pamphlet learns that Gerbovci has acted in the Skardian company as well as in the "Siguria" company, which is an open conflict of interest. However, until today, there has been no reaction to this scandal from the Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK) nor from the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers.
Why should Shefik Gerbovci be elected director?
As the former director of the Information Bureau at the BKS, he is directly responsible for the extortion of millions of taxpayers' money in border policies. Gerbovci initially led this office at the time when Sami Mazreku was the director of BKS.
Your information was wiped out and copied with the 'Randsomware' virus in January 2023 and the Chief was rewarded with the position of director. Or maybe the reward came to him after he took the citizens' information out of the country without the permission of the Central Bank, which in the report explicitly shows how much he did an illegal act.
There are also about 400,000 citizens of Kosovo who have registered and insured their vehicles and their personal data have been transferred to online servers of foreign companies, this action is not only illegal, but also dangerous for the personal and national security of the country.
Gerbovci is governor Ismaili's favorite director to hide financial crimes in BKS, alias the easily blackmailed man, as the system loves him in the field of insurance.
So even the Executive Board of the Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK) has taken measures against the Kosovo Security Bureau (BKS), asking the General Assembly for the release of its chairman, Agim Elshan.
Meanwhile, the former executive director, Sami Mazrek, has been banned from serving in the insurance field for a period of five years. These measures or 'beating hands' were done only to escape criminal prosecution Mazreku and his friends. Although the governor is informed that the investigations have started against Mazrek and other members of the BKS board, as well as they have been interviewed by the Police authorities and the case has passed to the Prosecutor's Office, which Pamphleti has continuously reported on.
CBK, according to the procedures, is now expected to certify Gerbovc as a director.
Will Gerbovci be certified even after all the violations committed by him in BKS, as the former director of the Information Center where in the examination report that we have flagrant violations occurred, as a friend of Besarb Blakaj, the man who incites and controls crime in the field of insurance, a part of which we have also reported as media?
Is CBK informed that Gerbovci acted in two of the companies that were on the interview panel.
Isn't this a pure conflict of interest?
