The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, on Saturday participated in the "Pride Parade" of the LGBTI community, which was held in "Skënderbeu" square in Prishtina.
Together with Kurt, the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, the mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama and the head of the Parliamentary Group of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, were seen.
This year's motto of the parade is "You look like you are".
And in a statement to the media, the head of the Kosovar executive said that he believes in human rights and, according to him, everyone should be equal.
"I believe in human rights. I believe that we should all be equal. Everyone should have their dignity and integrity protected. I express my indignation for the large number of abuses, threats and discrimination experienced by this community", said Kurti.
Asked if they have the votes for the Civil Code, he said that they will do their best to pass it to the Assembly in the next vote.
"We will do our best to pass the Civil Code in the Assembly next time and commit to the rights of all those who experience discrimination because society and the state are measured by those who are most vulnerable", the Prime Minister declared.
