The spokesperson for the Central Election Commission (CEC), Valmir Elezi, has announced that the preliminary results for political entities in the early parliamentary elections of December 28 are expected to be published within a few hours after the end of the voting process.
Elezi emphasized that after the completion of the counting of ballots at polling stations, preliminary results for political entities will be published on Sunday night, while the counting of votes for candidates for deputies will continue from Monday.
" We believe that on Sunday evening, within a few hours, we will have the preliminary results for the political entities. There are only 24 political entities in the race, fewer than on February 9, which facilitates the process of counting and transmitting the results ," Elezi declared.
He added that post-election day activities will take place at the Municipal Counting Centers, where the counting of votes for candidates for deputies will take place. According to him, there may be pauses in the counting during holidays, for which the CEC will take special organizational decisions.
"There may be breaks during holidays, but all election materials are under the care of the Kosovo Police," the CEC spokesperson emphasized.
