The untimely passing of singer Shpat Kasapi has shocked the public and the Albanian art world. Actor Rezart Veleshnja, a close friend of the artist, has recounted his final moments and their friendship for the show "Breaking".
According to Veleshnja, Shpati was in Italy with his ex-wife, Selvije, to take care of their son, who had health problems. In parallel, the singer continued his artistic commitments and gave concerts.
"Shpati was in Italy with Selvije because of his son's health problems. He was dedicated both to concerts and to his son's treatment ," said the Veleshnja.
He said that Kasapi had felt uneasy during a concert and that his condition immediately worsened.
" During a concert, he felt a disturbance and lost consciousness. Selvija tried very hard, but nothing could be done. The ambulance came, but... they couldn't save him ," he confessed.
