Albina Kelmendi has reacted angrily to a video circulating on social media, showing Egli Tako singing Shkurte Fejza's iconic song "Mora fështe" in a nightclub, at her first concert, and in an outfit that is considered inappropriate for the content of the song.
Albina reposted the video expressing her deep disappointment:
"Forgive me for sharing this. I hope this is a bad montage!"
In the video, an ironic comment accompanying the footage says:
"Adem Jashari and Shkurte Fejza, forgive us. Forgive us that such a great song for us is bastardized by singing it in panties."
Albina's reaction opens a debate on the ethics and sensitivity that should be shown in the interpretation of national heritage songs.
