
The Kosovo police have declared Akil Gjakova wanted.
The judo champion and his wife are in a divorce process, while a few days ago he was denounced for domestic violence.
Gjakova has not presented himself to the Police, causing the latter to seek the help of citizens to locate him.
Gjakova is a gold medalist in the Mediterranean Games and the European Judo Championship.
In 2021, he won gold in the men's 73 kg category at the European Judo Championships held in Lisbon, Portugal, while placing seventh at the 2020 Olympics.

Kosovo Police - The Regional Police Directorate in Pejë, based on the law for the publication of the photo with other notes of the person wanted with the authorization of the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Pejë, in order to locate and consequently arrest him, issues: Request for cooperation with citizens.
The requested person is:
AKIL (Luan) GJAKOVA was born on 04.01.1996 in Peja.
The defendant is wanted for the criminal offense:
- "Violence in the family"
The Kosovo Police asks the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that anyone who has information about the location of the suspect in the attached photo, to notify the Kosovo Police or report to the nearest police station.
