But it's none of them. The answer is surprising: Faiq Bolkiah, the prince of Brunei, is the richest footballer in the world. But his wealth doesn't come from his sporting career.
Faiq Jefri Bolkiah was born in the United States in 1998, but as a member of the Brunei royal family, he was essentially born into one of the wealthiest dynasties in the world. His father, Prince Jefri Bolkiah, brother of the Sultan of Brunei, was known for his extravagant lifestyle and excessive spending for a long time. The total value of the family fortune is more than $20 billion, of which Faiq himself received a large share.
However, Faiq Bolkiah became known not for his luxurious lifestyle, but mainly for his passion for football. He began his career at a young age in England, where he grew up in famous academies such as Southampton, Chelsea and Leicester City. Although he never managed to enter the English top flight, his dedication and work ethic earned him recognition in the profession.
He currently plays for Chonburi FC in Thailand and is also the captain of the Brunei national team. Although his sporting achievements are not comparable to those of world-class players, his financial situation is ahead of everyone.
