The return matches of the first round of UEFA competitions take place this midweek with many Albanian teams in the competition and with most of them in favorable positions to advance to the second round of the respective tournaments.
However, after the first matches, the statistics experts at "Football Meets Data" have made their projections for the teams that, according to computer simulations, will manage to secure the group stage of various tournaments. And according to their calculations, one Albanian team will manage to go to the group stage of the Conference League.
According to the simulations, the projection takes the champion team of Kosovo, Drita, to the group stage of the third most important tournament in Europe. Although Drita is currently in the Champions League and has a great chance of continuing further after defeating Differdange of Luxembourg in the first match, it is predicted that at the end of the qualifiers, it will be in the Conference League, where it could face some very well-known names because the projections also lead to teams such as Crystal Palace, Fiorentina, Rayo Vallecano, Mainz, Panathinaikos, Besiktas or AEK Athens in that stage of the tournament.
According to projections, Drita has a 56% chance of advancing to the group stage of the tournament, the 12th highest percentage that statistical calculations yield.
